Jazz Steampunk es una firma de accesorios artesanales creada por Marija Jillings, diseñadora de origen serbio afincada en Sneek (Paises Bajos). Yo tuve el placer de descubrir sus creaciones en la pasada edición del Fitting Room en Bilbao y desde entonces, me tienen enamorada.

Jazz Steampunk is a handmade accessories signature created by Marija Jillings, a Serbian designer who  lives in Sneek (Netherlands). I had the pleasure of discovering her creations in the latest edition of Fitting Room in Bilbao and since then, I have fallen in love with them.

Todas las piezas estan realizada a mano y sus diseños son totalmente exclusivos, la talentosa Marija Jillings vuelca toda su imaginación en ellos para que sean únicos; es  maravilloso observas los detalles de cada pieza, y apreciar la ilusión y el cuidado con el que han sido realizadas. 

All pieces are handmade and the designs totally exclusive, talented Marija Jillings  puts all her imagination into them to be completely unique; it's wonderful to look at the details of each piece, and appreciate the enthusiasm and care with  they have been made.

Las creaciones  están inspiradas en la estética y vestimenta del movimiento Steampunk, que, a grandes rasgos, se distingue por el uso de elementos propios de las épocas victoriana y eduardiana combinados con piezas y mecanismos inspirados en los primeros movimientos industriales; los guiños al art nouveau y a las corrientes modernistas también son frecuentes.  Aún así, Marija Jillings aporta su visión personal en cada diseño, dando lugar a accesorios de belleza cautivadora con toques etéreos y románticos. 

The creations are inspired by the aesthetics and attire of the Steampunk movement, which, broadly speaking, is distinguished by the use of elements from the Victorian and Edwardian periods combined with mechanisms and pieces inspired by the first industrial movements; references to art nouveau and modernist currents are also common. Still, Marija Jillings brings her personal vision in each design, giving as a result accessories of a captivating beauty with ethereal and romantic touches.
