El símbolo distintivo de Ahilya es la lana de cachemir, importada directamente de Cachemira (India), situada a los pies de la cordillera del Himalaya; la magia y tradición de la región hindú se entrelazan con la modernidad y sofisticación londinense en el taller de Manuela Moollan para tejer piezas de ensueño.
The distinctive sing of Ahilya es de Cashmere, imported from Kashmir (India), near the Himalayas' mountains; the magic and the tradition of the Indian region entwines with London modernity and sophistication in Manuela Moollan's atelier; as a result, wonderful scarves are created.

El nombre de la firma hace honor a Ahilyabai Holkar, una reina hindú del siglo XVII, apodada la reina filósofa por su sentido de la justicia, preocupación por el bienestar de sus suúbditos y amor por las artes y la cultura; siguiendo el ejemplo de la monarca hindú, las creaciones de Manuela Moollan están realizadas con materiales y técnicas que respetan la naturaleza, además, Ahilya aboga por un comercio ético que respeta los derechos de todos sus trabajadores.
The brand is named after Ahilyabai Holkar the 'philosopher-queen' , an Indian monarch of the 18th Century who was known because her great sense of justice, her concern for the welfare of her subjects and her love for the arts and culture; following the example of the Indian queen , Manuela Moollan's creations are made with material and techniques that respect nature: besides this, Ahilya pleads for an ethical commerce which respects the human rights of all of its employees.
